Enter a server trading challenge, use its isolated funds, monitor its portfolio and compare results on the competition leaderboard.
How to join a Pilot Markets competition with GuildPilot
Members can join an active server challenge before its entry deadline and trade with separate competition credits. Your competition portfolio and leaderboard result do not change the normal server portfolio.
Before you start
Pilot Markets must be active, a competition must be accepting entries and you must use the server's economy channel. All funds and assets are fictional and have no cash value.
Enter and trade
1. View the current competition
Run /market competition view. Read the entry deadline, trading window and starting credits.
2. Join before the deadline
Run /market competition join and confirm the response. Joining creates the isolated competition account once.
3. Trade with competition funds
Use /market competition buy with symbol and maximum cash_amount, or /market competition sell with symbol and share_quantity. Review and confirm each preview.
4. Monitor results
Run /market competition portfolio for your holdings and /market competition leaderboard for current standings.
Test the setup
- Join a disposable or approved competition with a test member. Preview and cancel one buy, then confirm the competition balance is unchanged. No normal portfolio cleanup is required because competition funds are isolated.
What a successful setup looks like
The member appears as joined, competition trades affect only the challenge portfolio and the dedicated leaderboard updates from those isolated results.
Common problems
Join is refused
Cause: The entry window is closed, there is no active challenge or the member already joined.
Fix: Run /market competition view and check the displayed status and deadline.
A normal holding is missing from the competition portfolio
Cause: Normal and competition holdings are intentionally separate.
Fix: Use /portfolio view for the normal server portfolio.
