How to set up Community Games and a Games channel hub
Community Games combines casino titles, fruit machines, robberies, fishing, hunting, bounties, arcade and a daily lottery. Games use the server's fictional Community coins. Private setup lets members check choices before shared play begins.
Before you start
- Enable Economy → Wallet & bank first. You need dashboard access to configure Games.
- Prepare a normal text channel and test members. New servers start with game modules and channel hubs disabled.
Warning: Enabling a Games hub directs new game activity to its channel. Confirm channel access and GuildPilot's View Channel, Send Messages, Read Message History and Pin Messages permissions before saving.
Step by step
1. Choose the games to offer
Open Games and review Casino, Fruit machines, Robberies, Fishing, Hunting, Bounties, Arcade and Lottery. Enable only your chosen modules and their menu actions. Check displayed availability; some options may depend on the server's current entitlement.
2. Review rules and presets
Set the limits, cooldowns and enabled presets for each activity. Casino rules distinguish total return from profit. Review game stakes and failure costs before opening play. Existing funded activities retain their saved rules when you change presets.
3. Publish the Games hub
Open Games → Hub, enable Enable channel hub, choose Hub channel and save. Using the same channel for Economy and Games creates a combined menu. After the latest channel message, the hub reposts once the channel has been quiet for 60 seconds. New messages restart the wait.
4. Show members where to start
Members can use hub buttons or /casino, /robbery, /fish, /hunt, /bounty, /arcade and /lottery. Initial menus are private. A configured hub takes precedence over saved activity channel lists; those lists apply again when the hub is disabled. Existing activities keep their recorded destinations.
Test the setup
- Open the Games hub with a normal test member and verify the enabled choices.
- Create a zero-stake arcade invitation to a consenting member and check the private review before confirming.
- Have the recipient decline; verify the invitation closes without charging coins.
- Send a test channel message, wait for 60 seconds of inactivity and verify the managed hub returns below the conversation. Keep other members' messages intact.
What a successful setup looks like
Members see the games you enabled, review costs privately and find the public hub in the selected channel. Changing hub settings does not move an already running activity.
Common problems
A game or menu action is unavailable
Check wallets, its Games module, action switches, entitlement and channel access. Enabling one casino title does not enable all titles.
The hub does not repost immediately
Every new channel message restarts the 60-second wait. Check Hub delivery status and permissions; use Post / restore when the message is missing.
