How to create a reviews and testimonials channel with GuildPilot

Reviews / Testimonials publishes a launcher button that opens a structured Discord form. Members provide a rating, headline and review body, and GuildPilot posts the result as a consistent testimonial embed.

Before you start

• Create a text or announcement channel for the launcher and published reviews.
• GuildPilot needs to send messages, embeds and interactive components in that channel.
• Decide whether every member who can view the launcher should be able to publish a review.

Warning: Submitted reviews are published to the configured Discord channel. State your community rules clearly before asking members for content.

Create a reviews channel

1. Open Reviews / Testimonials

Open Moderation → Channel Settings, select Reviews / Testimonials, then choose New configuration.

2. Choose the channel

Enter a Configuration name and select the Channel to restrict.

3. Configure the review form launcher

Under Review form launcher, edit Launcher title, Launcher description and Button label. Choose an Embed colour for the launcher and published review style.

4. Review the launcher and testimonial previews

Confirm that the launcher explains what members should submit and that the review preview keeps the rating, headline and body readable.

5. Enable and save

Enable the configuration and select Save changes. GuildPilot publishes or updates the launcher in the chosen channel.

Recommended configuration

Explain what the review will be used for and ask members not to include private information. Use a button label that names the action, such as Submit review.

Test the setup

1. Select the launcher button with a normal member account.
2. Complete Rating, Headline and Your review with fictional test content.
3. Confirm that GuildPilot publishes the testimonial and identifies the reviewer as expected.
4. Delete the fictional review after verifying the workflow.

What a successful setup looks like

The launcher remains in the selected channel while enabled. Submitting its form produces a review embed with the supplied rating, headline, body and reviewer context.

Common problems

The launcher cannot be published

Cause: GuildPilot cannot send messages or interactive components in the chosen channel.

Fix: Review the channel permissions and save the configuration again.

The form says the configuration is no longer available

Cause: A member opened an older launcher after the saved configuration changed or was removed.

Fix: Use the latest launcher message and remove obsolete copies from the channel.

A review submission fails

Cause: The configuration is missing, disabled or the bot cannot publish the resulting embed.

Fix: Confirm that the current launcher is enabled and that GuildPilot can send embeds in the channel.
