How to work shifts and build a Community career

Jobs turn your server progress into a career with interactive shifts. The private menu shows your actual pay, promotion progress, cooldown and any employer. Opening the menu does not assign a job automatically.

Before you start

  • An administrator must enable Wallet & bank and Jobs, with at least one suitable career preset.
  • Career eligibility uses your trusted server level. A business must fund the agreed wage before an employee shift starts.

Warning: An employment offer applies to its displayed employer and wage. Review a replacement offer again before accepting; do not assume an earlier offer still has the same terms.

Step by step

/jobs

1. Review the available career

Run /jobs in the permitted channel. Check your server level and available career. Use the career-assignment button when you want to take the offered job. If no preset covers your level, ask the administrator to review career ranges.

2. Start the right shift

Check pay and cooldown. Select Start shift for your career. If you have an employer, distinguish Career shift from Employer shift and choose deliberately. An employee shift needs available money in that business's treasury.

3. Complete the shift actions

Follow the three career-specific stages in the saved shift. Use the displayed choices and finish before its deadline. If you reopen the menu during an active shift, choose Resume shift rather than starting over.

4. Follow progress and offers

Return to /jobs to inspect the payout, promotion progress and next-shift availability. Review pending employment offers in the menu. Career progress and server leveling are shown separately; a Shop career voucher is not server-level XP.

Test the setup

  1. Use an eligible test member to open /jobs and confirm no career was assigned merely by opening it.
  2. Take the offered career, start one shift and finish its three stages.
  3. Reopen the menu and verify the displayed pay was received once and the cooldown/progress changed.
  4. Leave completed career progress in place; decline any test employment offer you do not want to keep.

What a successful setup looks like

You have a career matched to your server level, a single payout for the completed shift and a visible path toward the next promotion.

Common problems

A shift cannot start

Check the cooldown and active shift first. For employer work, ask the owner to fund the treasury; reserved wages cannot fund another shift.

No career fits your level

Ask an administrator to review enabled career presets and their level ranges in Economy → Jobs. Reopen the menu after the configuration is saved.
